Here are links to a variety of web pages and organizations that some of us find to be of interest or useful. We hope that you will find them helpful as well. The categories are somewhat arbitrary and some links may appear in more than one.
Quaker Related
Quaker.org is a resource that has links to all types of information about the Society of Friends, Quaker organizations, Quaker Meetings, and much more. We won't attempt to duplicate the information already available there, but will add here a few sites that we use frequently or ore of particular interest to our members or attenders.
- Quaker.org. Exhaustive resource for everything Quaker.
- American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). The American Friends Service Committee carries out service, development, social justice, and peace programs throughout the world.
- Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL). Washington DC based lobbying and advocacy organization supporting peace, social justice, and environmental responsibility.
- FGC bookstore. Books and other materials for and about Quakers.
- Quaker Earthcare Witness (QEW). A spiritually-centered movement of Quakers and like-minded people seeking ways to integrate concern for the environment with Friends' long-standing testimonies for simplicity, integrity, peace, and equality.
- www.iymc.org. The website of Iowa Yearly Meeting (Conservative).
- Scattergood Friends School. A Quaker boarding high school affiliated with IYM(C).
- FWCC Global Change. The website for Friends World Committee for Consultation's program for addressing global change.
Local and Wisconsin links
- Madison Monthly Meeting. Another area Quaker Meeting.
- Madison-area Urban Ministry (MUM). MUM is a coalition of over 100 diverse faith communities and many individuals from throughout Dane County. MUM's mission is to stand with the poor and hurting, neighbors working together for social change.
- The Road Home (formerly known as Interfaith Hospitality Network of the Madison Area) serves homeless families with children in collaboration with local faith communities and organizations.
- Middleton Outreach Ministry (MOM). Helps neighbors in need throughout the Middleton/West Madison area.
- Wisconsin Interfaith Power and Light. A group of people of all faiths working together to address climate change and related issues.
- Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice. A coalition of activist groups and citizens of conscience within Wisconsin.
- Camp Woodbrooke. A Quaker affiliated children's summer camp.
